Libretto and Film
My poems have been translated into libretto by Adam Sangster for The Leeds Lieder and film by Pru Fowler. The films were shown at The Bristol Spring Poetry Festival, Bridlington Poetry Festival, The Tetley, and presented by the Puzzle Poets and Moving Poems websites.
Videos of me performing are available at the Poetry Archive website, The Leeds Lock In and the 2013 ‘Versions of The North’ book launch in Nottingham Woodchip (then entitled That Room)
I enjoy the collaborative nature of theatre and was involved with Imove’s site-specific Haunt (2015-2017) as a co-writer and performer alongside Steve Toase, other artists and people experiencing homelessness.
Corseted was a one act show and exhibition that laced together the story of women’s rights campaigner Alice Cliff Scatcherd (1842-1906) with issues women face today. I was the writer and lead performer and partnered with the Morley community and various artists to deliver the project which received Arts Council and Leeds Inspired funding in 2016 and 17.
