Fallow, me as museum piece, and a queer literature party

Last call for Fallow at the Farm

It is your last chance to get tickets for Fallow at the Farm, a creative retreat which will happen this Saturday, 5th July, 11-4.

I’m really looking forward to welcoming a small group to the lovely space on Otley Chevin where we will chill and create in response to the four elements of air, earth, water and fire. These are some of the materials I have been gathering for the day.

Rainmaker, stones, card with bird, candle, pastels, clipboard and pieces of card with words written on

Hope you can make it! Here is the booking link.

Literature in Leeds

Literature in Leeds opened yesterday at Abbey House Museum. This multi-media exhibition gives a fascinating insight into different writers’ processes and themes as well as celebrating the festivals, libraries and independent bookshops that are the hub of literature in the city. I am very honoured to be featured alongside other writers with strong Leeds links. The exhibition is on until 6th March so there is plenty of time to catch it. More details here,

Section of case displaying objects relating to Becky’s work. Fragment of recreated Victorian dress, ear-shaped stone, burlers’ tweezers and WSPU suffragette badge.
