Becky Cherriman performs and reads at a variety of venues from festivals to schools to museums to theatres to dementia wards to pubs to spoken word nights. She works both independently and, occasionally, with other artists and musicians to perform her own writing and traditional material. Her performance career has included reading and acting at Seven Artspace with Landfill Productions and being one half of music and spoken word act Frayed Edges.

In 2006 Becky was commissioned to write and perform a children’s story ‘Then the Earth Moved’ for the Rotunda Museum in Scarborough on the theme of Geology. ‘Then the Earth Moved’ is an interactive story about Luke who is caught in a landslide on a Scarborough beach and sucked into a time portal. In his search for the way home, Luke and his new ammonite friend travel to different geological periods, experiencing many adventures along the way. Other venues Becky has performed at include Rossington Hall, Moortown Primary, Stockton Riverside Fest (2007) Seven Artspace, Stage@Leeds (2008), Poems, Prose and Pints (2009), The Spoken Word Campaign, Ralph Thoresby and Unity Day (2010).
